a nice sunny day for a walk in downtown vancouver. i happened upon this location, part of a project called Eagles in the City. plenty of interesting light bouncing off city skyscrapers. this is what i came up with.

well, i'm back on the coast. here are 2 shots i did this eve. one for me, and one for the postcard crowd. i promise not to keep taking these types of shots like last winter... feeling like i want to be in the desert...

introducing the roaming red rocker

some of you may remember a little series i did called "the roaming yaris". well, turns out she wasn't really a country girl, so my brother adopted her, and now she's in the city where she belongs. (i bought a truck).

so now, i have started a new series called "the roaming red rocker". i wanted the first shot to be a killer, so this is what i came up with. unfortunately, i will be leaving for the coast shortly, so the series will start in earnest next spring. this is my choice for the 'teaser'. let me know if you agree, or if you like any of the others.

looking for the moon

this is an impromptu portrait of my friends daughter. it was a quiet november eve, and the half moon was high in the big saskatchewan sky. for fun, i formatted as if an album cover.

molly's house

i went to the country today, and hooked up with friends on their farm. at last light, i had the camera out, and shot some portraits. on the way back to the house, i saw molly the dog go into her warm happy home. i fired of a few quick frames. i like the moment.

i was invited to a 'pick and pickle' this weekend (beets). this is how i saw the road trip. great people, interesting art, and a really big sky.

some friends where moving cattle out of the hills to their winter home today. this is my shot of the landscape, and the canine helpers..
