i was invited to a 'pick and pickle' this weekend (beets). this is how i saw the road trip. great people, interesting art, and a really big sky.

it's SNOWING today, so here is a shot from the last week or two, to help me get my mind off of "prairie global warming".

whitebear lake colf course

it was cold, windy, and cloudy first thing this AM. decided to get out to the course just in case. the weather broke for an hour or so, and i got this shot of #15.

well, back shooting whitebear lake golf course this AM. this was a little mist rising just after the sun broke the horizon. not a golf shot, but shows the lay of the land.

saskatchewan homestead

wow, if i was a writer / i'd spin a fine yarn about these two images. i did a road trip down to the homeland (oxbow), to hook up with friends and family for a little boat cruise on the souris river. turns out the boat didn't show, so i had time on my hands. i have driven by this farm a bizillion times (is that how writers articulate)??..... but never pulled in to document. took the time today/ met the owners, heard some great stories. i'll go back and shoot more (and maybe take a writer with me).

ps/i want to do a series on 'clothes lines' someday.

round up is a go

off to the south for a round up..... tomorrow. have camera, will travel. let's see if i can capture the 'spirit'. (this portrait was from about a year ago).
