olympic crowds

i decided to get back into the main stream today. took a walk along the seawall, and ended up down by the rink. i found a nice spot out of the way, put the canon on a tripod, and spent an hour and a half shooting the crowds/ watching the light change. second shot from the same location - the athlete's village.

winter olympic light show

my sister in saskatchewan went on line, and set up this light design dedicated to 2 friends who are fighting illness. i was the photographer of record. it was fun last night / shooting the show and talking to her via cell at the same time. well done.

downtown vancouver

i burnt quite a bit of shoe leather today, so i decided to set up shop on granville street, and let the action come to me. the light was right, so i spent an hour or 2 just fooling around with the canon.

day at the beach

my plan for the day was to hit the downtown.. again. i geared up, walked a block or two, and realized this was the nicest winter day i have ever spent in vancouver. so who needs the crowds? i went back home, put on the shorts, grabbed a pop, and spent the afternoon at the beach/ one block from my happy home / at english bay. oh... and i had my camera with me as well (would like to leave that at home more often).
