duck

i followed this little fella around lost lagoon in stanley park for awhile today. he kept diving on me, but i got this shot when it was time for a breath of fresh air. i like the simplicity of the image.

it was the little cartoon character (can't remember the name) that chased around Foghorn Leghorn.

speaking of schwab, i'm checking into this shot. bird c/b a grebe (which is a type of duck i believe). any 'duck' experts out there??

Doug, the bird in the picture is a Hooded Mergnaser, Lophodytes cucullatus, to be precise. Mergansers are fishing eating ducks, so technically it is a duck. It is very good picture of the merganser...Jack
