Nice, now you need blueberries & feta cheese with your watermelon. It is called the " Red, White & Blue salad". one of my favs last summer. BRY

roger that bernie ... down here / have to substitute feta with Queso fresco, and mango will have to be the 'blueberry' ... so lets call it the red, white, and .... mango salad. it w/b all the rage next summer.

A beautiful shot to show the local economy. Do they irrigate the watermelon-in view of the fact that the skies have been blue eversince you have arrived there?cw

yes they do. i have barely seen a cloud for the last 2 months, let alone any precipitation.

i purchased a few to bring home. about 90 cents per. very sweet. from what i could gather, the season for melons is 3 months.

That is the nice part of the Barra area you really can get away and see life lived in a real way.

yes, i was eager to get inland for this type of photography. given the temperature tho, it's nice to be back at the ocean.
