portrait

(this is a re-post/the last images were too dark).

i'm still working on a 'portrait' series. today, i went down to the south west, camera and light in tow. everyone was busy with harvest, but i was able to hook up with kelly, and he took the time to let me experiment.

i really like the first attempt (one needs to click on to enlarge), but i also like the second one. comments?? thxs.

Amazing shots doug. I like them both, but i prefer the shot where you can see his whole face.

like the first one better. the close up is perfect. If you would take one of me like that once a week I could trim my nose hair! hobie

Both are good Doug, and I think it must be the double barreled toothpicks!

Hey Doug,

These are great portraits. When I see them as they come up in the email still like the 2nd shot better. When I click on the face portrait and it opens up bigger I like it so much better, perhaps more than the 2nd shot. Nice crisp B&W detail. Like those catch lights.

Look forward to more.

dk, the first portrait is with ring light flash. i still need to do more work or get the catch light i want. a more neutral angle, and i think the light needs to be tracked in more.

grizzly looking guy with two toothpicks. Wow, what a face. td
