vancouver canada

so, i had quite the journey today. spent 5hrs plus walking the town, camera at the ready. returned to home base, and reviewed 200 plus frames. and what do i do? post a shot of a door and a bus??

ok, this was what i was thinking. i flat out like the light/colors of the door shot, so that's that.. the bus... well, photographs of transit rides, are time capsules. that is to say, the streets, the buildings, will evolve slowly over time, but vehicles, and the advertising on them, suggest a moment in time. (just like the sunglasses worn in a 2 year old photo... dates you in an instant).

that's my justification for these 2 shots......... oh, and the exercise didn't hurt i suppose....

Yeah, that is a neat doorway. Not exactly what I was thinking for the portrait. Cool as it is... the asian overtone give a whole different feel to things. The 'skid row alley' thing would be better and more of a cool contrast to the clothes.

Just my two-bits worth.
