day at the beach

my plan for the day was to hit the downtown.. again. i geared up, walked a block or two, and realized this was the nicest winter day i have ever spent in vancouver. so who needs the crowds? i went back home, put on the shorts, grabbed a pop, and spent the afternoon at the beach/ one block from my happy home / at english bay. oh... and i had my camera with me as well (would like to leave that at home more often).

Love the shots, do you find it difficult leaving your camera at home, or do you do it just for us?!
Thanks anyway!

Nice, Doug. Really like the sailboat with the mountains and clouds.

only in Vancouver in February could kayaking and sailing be possible winter olympic sports..

I can fully understand you going to the beach for a day--"far from the maddening crowd"-all those downtown crowds can become wearying. You will be ready to plunge in to the crowds again later on. nice to see that the weather is mild enough for shorts. cw

i have the dreaded camera back pack welded to my body everyday i'm out here. if i went outside without it i'd preform a lip stand. and of course, if i don't have it, it's the 'look what you see when you don't have a gun'. so i'm gearing up, and hitting the streets again. stay tuned..
the weather is nice...

I like the boat mix Doug. A little different than the beaches of WB. Keep it up . . . maybe I'll comment a bit more often! ML
