lions gate bridge

i've always hoped i would be under the lions gate bridge when a big ship was steaming by (with a camera, as opposed to sleeping). so i was happy with the first image. i thought i'd try for a secondary shot. i like the second one the best. it would be great to get your opinions/choices. looking forward to your comments. thxs.

Hey Doug,

I like the second one a lot but I like what you did with the type in the first shot, too. Has impact Man!

I like all of the shots but must say I like the perspective from under the bridge in the first shot the best of the three.

hope you are staying warm...still waiting for the El Nino here.

when I saw the first one I was confused with a bridge and a triangle, then I saw the second and it was okay then I went back to the first and said to myself "very efing dramatic, I like it" Don't give us the usual, go for the first one. No one else would have seen it that way, but, that's the way you saw it. It made me look at it several times. The other ones I believe I've bought as postcards before and them mailed them away.

Did you look up the history behind this bridge-it is very interesting. cw

good stuff! just to clarify, the first image with the type is 'the shot'. i was curious what folks might think of a 'secondary' shot - #2 or #3. but overall, i'm happy that #1 isn't a 'postcard' (to my eye anyway).

Hard to say which one I like best-I like them all but I would have to say I like the first one best. These pictures remind me of the many times we went over this bridge in the past 60 years.

#1 is a more "individual shot " with your stamp on it more esoteric ??
#2 a bit more generic but the gold highlights in the bridge are real good
#3 more interesting with the boat in the foreground nice sheen off the building 'city of gold"
By the way have you watched on history channel the world after people series nice......cj

Doug,
For me, the first one is beyond compare! The other two are good, but number one is absolutely outstanding. Nice job.

They are all excellent but I love the first one. What an eye you have! gv

No question... number one. I have shot from that point on several occasions. Good on ya, for climbing up the slope on the south side of the sea wall. The higher angle helps a lot. Jury is still out on this latest bent of yours, (adding text)It does open up a whole new can of worms design wise. Fonts are like photography... they get old and dated, (ok, not like your photography of course... hehehehehe)

i like the first shot, mainly because you had to work for it,unlike all those shots on the bald prairie. Hills must be exiting for you in the winter. I also love those ice shots jh

I would love to have a large copy of #1 on my wall! Im not totally sold on the text but can adjust.

no need to adjust / the 'text', or copy, is just for my amusement. the photography always rules. latent images available. you might have to talk to my agent.. he's a dentist...
