Yes, I like that Doug. Someone recently asked me how long you had an interest in photography--I said--"always" you smiled most when you saw the shadows of the leaves from the sun reflected in your crib cw
"Cool shot, Doug! It feels/looks like a coloured pencil drawing, if that makes any sense. What do you mean by basement darkroom days-- i.e. what process were you working with then, or is it just that you were developing your own film???" ls.
developing and printing / B&W. use to push process tri-x to get grainy effect. sepia tone etc. fiber based paper only / use to take 'days' to produce 1 print (all fun tho).
Yes I remember Neil in the photo lab at the U of S doing all nighters because the time just passed so quickly he was so absorbed in and enjoying what he was doing. ls
yes, it's addictive. have to have some loud neil young or steppenwolf happening. probably better ventilation wouldn't have hurt (might explain a few things)?
HaHa! Soooooo you were flying a tad were you?! I remember the smell because he kept big brown bottles of solution in the apartment at the student housing. I can still smell it and I wasn't even in the thick of it all night! ls
