some of you may remember a little series i did called "the roaming yaris". well, turns out she wasn't really a country girl, so my brother adopted her, and now she's in the city where she belongs. (i bought a truck).
so now, i have started a new series called "the roaming red rocker". i wanted the first shot to be a killer, so this is what i came up with. unfortunately, i will be leaving for the coast shortly, so the series will start in earnest next spring. this is my choice for the 'teaser'. let me know if you agree, or if you like any of the others.
rock on! roaming red rocker.......

Hey, Doug.
Fantastic shots! In fact, I actually said "WOW!" out loud when I saw the first one. Love the red rocker idea. Looks like a real winner. Can't wait for the rest of the series.

ps: cheering for Sask tonight!
Brings back memories of the shot on the lake with the kids and Connor.
The colours are absolutely amazing!

I like the colors very much in these pictures and the idea! cw
These pictures truly show the vastness and beauty of the prairie sky-you are doing what you were born to do obviously-and doing it well. cw
Who needs a roaming gnome when you have a roaming red rocker?? Very cool pics. Have a good winter.

I'm new to your blog and loving it! You're a great inspiration. I share your passion for photography and live in a town called Oxbow (southeast Sask). Your work is truly amazing!
I think the shot looks great! Such fun.
I love it! The colors are amazing!
She said, how does he do that?? She thought the "chair was floating on water" Whose chair is that anyway? We both really like the effect it is highly cool...
hey larry, i bought this chair at your favorite store in minot (the place were 'everyone knows your name'). the red stain was my idea. like one of my friends said, the red rocker is on thin ice.

I do like the new series. But then, you know how I like subtext and iconic metaphor in photos... hehehehehe
Heart break in the Grey Cup... but love in the roaming red rocker.
Me
5 out of 5 family members vote for the first one. Absolutely a beautiful shot.
Keep on rockin'

Looking good Doug,
Sorry I missed them before the game but they did help cheer me up after the game. I really like the idea of the red chair.
"Sold the Yaris, bought a Rocker!
And its off to Wet BC i go
for to wait out old man winter
I'll be back af-ter the snow."
sung to the tune of Clementine.
I hope you remembered to take it off the lake or else someone will put Christmas lights on it and start ice fishing off it.
i vote for two as it is challenging you to come out onto the ice for a dance..... or a swim.
Nice work..
CEO
great shots great idea i"m glad we bought it in Minot last summer. the seeds of this idea were probably planted in the Alien bar and grill. No that was the meat slicer idea. love the photos, take it to Palm Springs jh
HA! steve... i knew you were going there with the xmas lights/fishing theme. and just so you know, that's my next idea... i think it might be a 'winner' (remember the award thing)? any ways, thxs for the comments / you're a funny guy (for a CEO). this is when the blog thing is fun... dw
keep checking in.
Hey Mr. Walker ! no surprise at all when I see THE ROAMING RED ROCKER, I would of "knew!" there is " the only Photog " could do this shot...?
Mr. WALKER .
Thanks for the art of your works that I've seen over 2 decades.
X CP LAB.
hey JH, man, who would have thought guys are age would hang at the alien bar and grill? guess because it was in the mall parking lot. at the time, the roaming red rocker was nothing but pieces of wood in a box in the back of a truck. what were we drinkin'? errr 'thinking'
X CP LAB / hey tuan, great seeing you folks again. thxs for your comments, and your hard work and support for all those years. dw
The red rocker seems to have touched a nerve in a lot of people. My vote is for #1.Hope to see more of the chair in the future.

The first two... WOW... can't say anymore than that. Great pictures... love your imagination.
