get along little doggies



some friends where moving cattle out of the hills to their winter home today. this is my shot of the landscape, and the canine helpers..

this location is 3 miles north of arcola, just heading into the hills. the 2 dogs were taking a break in the back of my truck... while the riders stopped for some chow and a drink..

No cowboys here I guess-the dogs do a good job and a motorized vehicle does the rest?The more I look at this photo of the cattle drive the more I like it!It reminds me of a simpler time in life.cw

yes, there were about 8 riders, and just one quad. this was a 3 to 4 day project. about 450 head started out in the arcloa hills, and ended up south of carnduff. about 60 + miles i would think.
