I think this is my favourite to date, Doug. Where were you shooting this from?

secret location kel, stay tuned and see if it makes the whitebear web site... or make your own guess.. let's start a contest/// douglas e.

How many choices do we get for the contest?? I am picking today's shot first, your sunrise shot of the green on Thursday, Larry standing in the mist on Friday, and the shot of the mist/dew on the green from Saturday....tough choices...

duh...contest to guess the location, not shots for the website...a bit slow at times...I am thinking #15 green, shot just past the clearing that we walk up to get to the 16 tee, looking back down...truly is a guess though as I am stumped.

I guess the comment I made on the e-mail shows --what-my ignorance?I would choose the picture with the fog as my very best. cw

kel, you're in the ball park, but a little ahead of yourself. douglas e

cw, fog is good.

nature's frame.... love the shading in the foreground. This one is the best!

This one-for sure!

douglas e. walker said...

natures frame / yes, that's the way i saw it.

Gorgeous! And it does take me back to those AB Tourism early morning shoots.
You have a great talent, but I think you already know that!!!

Is this #11 from behind the tee boxes?

douglas e. walker said...

no, but i will reveal that it is on the back nine.

...a bit ahead of myself...so, between the double throne and the clearing we walk through to get to 16??

kel.

douglas e. walker said...

nope. but i'm usually getting weary as i trudge up/through that throne.

Great shots Doug. Love them all. This looks like #11 the way the trees ring around it- but with your tricks like using ladders to change the perspective it's deceiving.

susan, thxs! but.... it's not #11, and altho you caught me up on a ladder last week, i was only on my tip toes for this shot. (hint: its sunrise).

Jesus, that's outstanding. Hopefully you're playing 'the bear' as well. I can't believe the leaves have turned already. jr

douglas e. walker said...

jr, i did get some golf in this summer / mostly at the bear. gotta say tho, i'm enjoying shooting the course with a camera, as opposed with the clubs. i don't get beat up as much...

...trudge up/through the throne..was it in behind the throne? Either that or you are two blades of grass and three pebbles and a rock to the left...you are killing me.

kel.

douglas e. walker said...

sorry kel, that's not it either. i guess when you play you're always down the middle, and on in regulation. this angle is from a very wayward shot......

I’ve just started looking at the images and they are f*#@ing stunning. How far is White Bear from Regina?

The images are stunning, Doug. They make me want to clean my clubs.

Good shot Doug, even I haven't ever had to hit a ball at that green from there. I won't give it away on you though.

Do you still have that cheese ready? Mike

douglas e. walker said...

i got cheddar waitin' for a bun. i'm shooting this morn at the bear / i'll tell larry to bring the beverage.

Awesome... as per usual.
Yes, I have played it. Nice job buddy.

Doug, awesome photographs! Looks like #14 from standing by #15! I think I see a SGI Calloway in the reeds - must be Quill's.

douglas e. walker said...

red ball eagle, you are REAL close, but not quite right. i'll have a look for that calloway tomm AM....

#16 green from #14 T box jh

douglas e. walker said...

Doug, it is #15 green as seen from the far left woods! Your are tricky as it appears to be looking down at it!

douglas e. walker said...

ok, time for the 'reveal'. thxs for all the comments. this shot is taken from behind the back green side bunker on #14, looking "up" to #15 green.
